Big group outings may be put on hold for the time being, but that does not mean that your group of 5 or fewer friends can't have a good time with our tabletop games. In fact, with social distancing measures in place, playing tabletop games may just be one of the safest activities to do outdoors. Here we compiled a list of our best games for your games day outing!

#1. Bohnanza, $23.90

Mechanisms: Hand Management, Negotiation, Set Collection, Trading

No. of Players: 3 to 5

Playing Time: 45 minutes

Suitable for ages 10 and above

As card games go, this one is revolutionary. By having the oddest rule that you cannot rearrange your cards in hand, you will have to plan and play strategically to plant fields of these beans, and then harvest them. The game enhances the negotiation skills of the players as you barter with your friends for the bean cards you want!

How to Play:

  1. Each player starts with a random hand of bean cards (Remember, you can’t rearrange them!)
  2. On your turn, you must plant the first 1 or 2 cards in your hand into the “fields” in front of you. Each player starts off with 2 fields and each field can only hold 1 type of bean. If all fields are full, yet you still have to plant a new type of bean, you must harvest a field to make room for the new arrival.
  3. Next, reveal 2 cards from the draw pile. You may trade these 2 cards and your cards on hand with other players. You can even chose to make future promises!
  4. End your turn by drawing 2 cards, placing them at the back of your hand.
  5. When you harvest beans, check to see if you collected enough bean cards to earn coins. After playing through the deck 3 times, the richest player wins!
